Account Architecture by Channel
- Marketplace maintains:
- MCC (Google Ads manager account)
- MCA (Merchant Center account hierarchy)
- GA4 property (if using GA4-based conversion setup)
- Topsort provisions vendor-level account structure under marketplace-managed containers.
Meta
- Marketplace maintains a parent Business Manager and required app/platform access.
- Topsort provisions vendor-level structure:
- One child Business Manager per seller
- One ad account per child BM
- One system user for automation

Snapchat
- Snapchat uses a marketplace-level account model in Topsort:
- One retailer Snap ad account is connected per marketplace
- Vendor-level separation is handled in campaign and catalog/product set logic, not by creating child ad accounts per vendor
Marketplace Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain required channel top-level accounts (Google, Meta, Snapchat).
- Provide high-quality catalog data and stable vendor identifier mapping.
- Grant Topsort required platform access.
- Implement and validate event tracking (web and app), including purchase and add-to-cart events. If already using Topsort for onsite, this work is usually minimal.
- Configure billing operations and vendor commercial policy.
Topsort Responsibilities
- Provision and orchestrate vendor campaign setup in supported channels.
- Configure account linkages, campaign automation, and reporting pipelines.
- Support conversion setup strategy (including direct sharing to Google where enabled).
- Calculate attribution using marketplace event signals based on configured attribution windows.
API Support
If marketplaces have their own UI, they can build on top of Topsort APIs. The Offsite API supports all core functions available in the Topsort Offsite UI, including campaign management, wallet operations, and reporting.
