Banner creatives support optional alternative text and AI-generated image declarations to help marketplaces support accessible experiences and content transparency.

Alternative text

You can optionally add alt text to each banner creative. Alt text describes the image for shoppers using screen readers and can be added or edited during campaign creation. Alt text does not block campaign launch if left blank. When a banner wins an auction, Topsort returns the description with the creative so the marketplace can use it when rendering the image.

AI-generated images

For supported image creatives, turn on AI Generated or Modified Image if any part of the image was generated or modified using AI. Topsort records this declaration with the creative. Topsort may also notify you when an uploaded file contains metadata associated with an AI generation tool. This is only a prompt to review the creative: Topsort does not automatically mark the image as AI generated. For implementation details, see Sponsored Banners.
